Going "Walking Walking"

Wiley brought me a new toy last week. Today, I tried it out and it's the perfect walking toy! Look at me go! This Hippo also picks up my peek-a-blocks as I move. Fun and useful! How efficient of me. Mommy is so proud. Thanks, Wiley!

The Adventures of the Late Bunny

Let me give you a little background: On St. Patrick's Day, Late Bunny set out on a trip from DeKalb, IL to Boylston, MA. Mimi and Papa helped Late Bunny get all snuggy in her box and off she went. Late Bunny was supposed to arrive at her destination before Easter...but she never did. Days and days went by. We had all given up hope that Late Bunny kept to her travel plans. We figured that she was off to some warm, tropical place. It's been a snowy winter in Illinois and Massachusetts, so really who could blame her! However, guess who showed up on the doorstep today...LATE BUNNY! I guess she'd had enough of her road trip and she needed some kisses from me! Welcome to New England, Late Bunny! You're gonna love it here!
And after Late Bunny went to bed, I had to catch up on some emails. Daddy got me my own keyboard from his stash because I keep trying to use his and Mommy's laptops. It was a rough night at the office. Oof. (That's the sound I make when I make this face.)

Fun Times with Friends

Today was a great day. I spent the morning taking a 3-hour nap! This was to make up for my "No Nap Day" at school yesterday. (Every day that I go to school is "No Nap Day" but that's another topic...) Then Mommy took me to my friend Thomas's house to play for the afternoon. It was such a blast. Thomas likes to throw things and I was giggling away! I was pulling his ears and rubbing his head. He was pulling my hair and bopping me on my head.

Our mommies were so happy to see us having so much fun together now that we're both mobile.

We ended the day by meeting Wiley at the Outback for dinner! Every day should be this good!

Hangin' with Bunny

So, I got two more Easter surprises today! First, I got a box from my Cousin Mason and Bunny was in it! I just love sitting and talking with Bunny. She listens to me and doesn't judge. It's nice to have someone who isn't trying to be all funny and sarcastic all the time like my parents. The other treat was that I got an Easter card in the mail from my friend Casey! She lives outside of Baltimore, but I'm going on vacation with her to the Outer Banks in June! I can't wait to see her (and hopefully my cousin Annika, too!)!

Celebratin' Spring

Today I'm ten months old. Since it was such a beautiful spring day and I was in my pretty dress, we decided to take some family photos to commemorate the occasion. Mommy made Daddy change into something that matched us girls better. I must say, we clean up nice!

An Easter Playdate

As if my day wasn't already fantastic, I had a special playdate today! I went to my friend Reilly's grandmother's house this afternoon for a quick visit. Reilly was up visiting from Connecticut for Easter. Reilly's doggie Gertie was there so I chased her around for a while.

After I got bored with that, I plotted to steal all of Reilly's toys. Everyone tried to distract me with my own toys, but I'm no fool. I know a new toy when I see one!

Putting All The Eggs In My Basket

Today was my first foray into hunting. Daddy informed me that we were to find these bright colored eggs! I found my first two and was totally content to shake them all day long.
It took awhile to convince me, but I finally found the rest.

And a basket full of goodies, too! I inspected all the contents: bubbles, bunnies, and a ball. Plus some candy for Mommy and Daddy.
I ended the adventure by taking my two bunny friends for a ride in the basket. I was pretty skeptical of the Easter Bunny when I saw him at the mall. But, this day they call Easter sure is a good time!

Maybe Kitties Are My New Favorite?

Today I visited with my neighbors Joe and Stacy. They got a giant new TV and Daddy helped Joe put it in his basement. We all celebrated by watching a movie on the big screen. Here I am chatting up Joe.
But I can't lie. I barely watched the movie. I spent most of my time chasing Tiger around. I am really starting to love animals. Mommy and Daddy keep saying that I'm never getting one of my own. I bet I could convince Daddy, but Mommy is going to take some work!

My Parents Are Hilarious

During dinner tonight my parents were dancing and singing to me and I was laughing so hard. They are soooo silly and don't mind making fools of themselves, so I give them smiles and giggles. Check out my avocado face and gummy no-teeth smile. Yep, 10 months old and no teeth yet.

Lalalalalalajava

Today Daddy and I went out. He said we were running, but really we were just driving around. Something to do with errands?? Whateva.

First we got a piece of paper from the Boylston Po-Po saying we can burn the sticks in the back yard. Then we went to get Daddy's phone fixed because he got it wet on the boat visiting Nanny, but it was broken too much to fix. Then I went to get a coffee for Daddy at LaLaJava. Then we went to get food for my pet birds in the back yard. That was enough running for me!

My Buddy and Me!

I woke up from my nap to find out that my friend Wiley was at my house! I was so excited! We're like two Super Girls when we get together! Here we are activating our Super Power (which is playing with every single toy in the living room!)

Wiley is a big girl. When we hang out, she shows me big girl stuff. Like how to climb stairs. I haven't even tried yet. For now, I'm just taking it all in with my feet firmly planted on the ground.

And, Wiley reads me stories, too. She's such a good friend. I hope she comes to visit again soon!

Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let Down Your Hair!

Can we talk about girlie stuff? My hair is getting sooooooo long. Its starting to curl up and it's always in my eyes. Mommy refuses to cut it though. Plus, I'm going blonde. You wouldn't know it, but Mommy and Daddy both had very light hair as babies. And boy do I have a lot of it! Mommy even tries to put it up, but I eat whatever she puts in my hair. Let it flow free, Mommy!

My Pot 'o Gold is Filled with Fun!

Today was my first St. Patrick's Day. It didn't start out so great...but thankfully, it ended well. Early this morning Mommy had to bring me to the Dr's and now I get to have yummy pink liquid again! I LOVE yummy pink liquid. Anyway, when we got home I got to play with Uncle Tommy, Uncle Steven, and Auntie Kristen again. They are very silly.

Then, after a yummy brunch, I took a 3 hour nap. Uncle Tommy kept trying to wake me up, but Mommy told him to let me sleep. When I finally did wake up Mommy dressed me in my special green outfit and gave me my mail! I got a letter from Mimi and Papa covered with stickers! Did you know that stickers do not taste very good? I didn't mind, I kept trying to eat them.

And my St. Patrick's Day ended with a big party...in the bathroom! That's right! It was bath time and everybody came upstairs to play with me. I had so much fun today. I can't wait to play again tomorrow! I get to stay home from school, too!

Aunties and Uncles Galore

Today was a really fun day! First, Mommy and I drove down to Providence to pick up Uncle Steven and Auntie Kristen. When we got home Mommy told me that she was putting "make-up" on my face. She's says it's special make-up for the poison ivy on my face that I got from my Daddy. I've already decided that I don't like make-up, but I'll still smile for the camera.

Then Uncle Tommy, Uncle Scott and Auntie Becky came over, too! Auntie Becky, Grammy and Grumpy bought me a picnic basket full of Easter goodies!

I can't wait until tomorrow because Mommy says there will still be some people here to celebrate my first St. Patrick's Day with me! I can't wait!

Grandpa Mike and Mimi Maryann

I am so lucky I have so many people in my family. It seems like every week I get to see different grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins. Some kids only have two sets of grandparents, but I have four!

We had a grown up dinner with Grandpa and Mimi. It was dark and the lights must have been broken so we had to use candles to see our food. Everyone else had shiny cups with grape juice, but I just had milk. Mimi and Grandpa told us the story about how they met and fell in love. Then I took a bath and went to bed. It was a great evening! Except I think I missed out on the yummy desert...

Friday is Daddy Day

Don't tell Mommy, but my favorite day of the week is Friday. Today Daddy and I went for a hike in the snow and found a big tupperware container hidden in a log. Why are adults so weird with their silly games? I just liked the fresh air. And it was warm enough that I didn't have to wear my snow suit or even my bear suit!

Then we went to the Bagel Inn where Daddy just had a bagel and I had avocado, banana, ravioli, sweet potato, and cheese. Daddy was so missing out. The lady at the Bagel Inn was so nice the way she talked to me, but I was embarrassed. So I waited until she wasn't looking and then I waved to her.

Then we brought Mommy some Starbucks coffee at work because she was having the worst week ever. Something to do with friction, whatever that is. I don't think she really wanted the coffee. She just wanted an excuse to see me. (Don't tell Daddy, but I really wanted an excuse to see Mommy, too.)

My Two New Favorites: Doggies and Swings!

In case you didn't know. I officially crawl now. I'm all over the place. I spent my final day in Florida chasing after Gracie. I learned the hard way that she does not like having her hair pulled.

However, I have to give a big shoutout to my cousin Annika. She's been raving about these swings for months and months. Mommy was on a mission to get me to try one down in Florida where it's super warm and Grandpa Freddy knew just where to go! I LOVED IT!

The Duval Crawl

Today we went on a Key West pub crawl. We started at my Papa's favorite bar: Sloppy Joe's!

I went right up to the bar at Hogs Breath and asked the bartender for a sippy cup refill.

Still going strong at Capt. Tony's Saloon!

Oh. I am so done now. Four is enough for me! What a day!

Sunset Cruise

Today was all about the water. First Mommy and I went for a loooooooooong walk and ended up having a snack down by the dock.
Then Grandpa Freddy let me drive his boat out for the sunset!!! That was a blast! I was really good at it.

Then I watched the pretty sky with my Daddy. A great day indeed.

Fun in Florida!

Wow. My first trip to the Keys has been fabulous so far.
Today I got to spend time with Nanny and I warmed up to her right away!

Then Daddy took us all geocaching on a nice walk near the ocean. I didn't want to wear a hat, but Mommy tied it so I couldn't pull it off. She's tricky!

But the BEST part of my day you ask? ICE CREAM! This vacation was all about trying new foods and let me tell you...ICE CREAM IS THE BEST!

Leaving on a Jet Plane

Today I got on an airplane to go see my Nanny and Grandpa Freddy in the Florida Keys. I slept for the first hour and then climbed all over everyone and everything I could for the second two hours.

This was my 7th plane ride, but the first time I looked out at the clouds. So pretty!

Tuesday, March 4, 2008

Stay tuned...

I'm off to visit Nanny and Freddy in the Florida Keys until Sunday! Check back for photos from my trip!

Rough Day

Today I was fussy and I only napped for 30 minutes after lunch. That's why I was all snuggly with Mommy before dinner and I fell asleep waiting for Daddy to come home from work.

Grumpy? No way!

This weekend my grandfather came to visit. We can't decide if he should be Grandpa or Grampy...so we decided on Grumpy. Everyone in my family thinks his new nickname is hilarious. I don't get it. He is so fun and happy all the time. Love ya, Grumpy! Thanks for the new book!
