Mommy's Special Day

Mommy must have been really tired, because she slept until 11am this morning! Daddy and I watched Saturday Night Live while we waited.

Then later we went to see Nanny since she's home for the summer! But not just Nanny and Aunt Maggie were there -- everyone was there!

Auntie Marl and Auntie Di...

Even Uncle Pablo who was helping me run over stuff with my new shopping cart! I had so much fun today, and I think Mommy did, too.

Silly Saturday...

I continued my climbing today. Daddy was unloading the dishwasher. Usually I crawl over and stand there and touch things, but today I decided to really help out. So I climbed right in when he turned around. I'm so quick!

Then my friend Solomon and his sister Linnea came over. Solomon and I are good buddies. Here I'm showing him my bug catcher.

And playing fun footie games with Linnea. I like learning from big girls. Another fun day. I can't wait until tomorrow!

Happy Birthday, Mommy!

Sorry for not updating until now. Everyone in my house has been sick, sick, sick! But we're all feeling better now that we have antibiotics. Anyway, today was Mommy's birthday and Daddy and I decided to take her to tea for lunch! Mommy loves going to tea and I was a little baby in my car seat last time we went.

But today, I got to find out what this tea thing is all about. I had tea and scones and finger sandwiches and it was so yummy!

Then, we stopped over at Nanny's because she is home from Florida for the summer! My cousin Peter was there climbing under the furniture and making me laugh. Peter is my favorite person to watch.

And then I ended to day my being cute and climbing INTO my toy bin. I've had these toy bins for months and today was the first day that I realize the bin itself is a toy. What fun!

And now the second half.
6th Inning - Staying Warm Inside Daddy's Jacket

7th Inning - The Stretch

8th Inning - Singing Sweet Caroline and Eating Pizza Crust

9th Inning - The Whole Gang

And the Sox won, too! What a fun time! I'm so happy to finally be a legit member of Red Sox Nation. Thanks for organizing a fun family outing, Uncle Tommy! It was a blast!

My First Red Sox Game! - Part One

That's right! Today was my first Red Sox game! It was supposed to rain all day, but once the game started, the rain stopped! And Uncle Steven and Auntie Kristen showed up, too! I had so much fun and Mommy and Daddy said I was such a good girl. Here is a photo journal of my first trip to Fenway Park.

1st Inning: The Obligatory Fenway Park Photo

2nd Inning: The Afternoon Nap on Mommy

3rd Inning: Just One Of The Boys
4th Inning: Getting to Know Wally (The Sox Mascot)

5th Inning: Cheering for My Team - Sox #1

Mmmm...Beer

We all woke up this morning and everything seemed status quo. Mommy got to sleep in (Sunday is her day), Daddy gave me breakfast, and Auntie Becky played with me. Soon enough Mommy woke up and started ordering the troops around. I thought something was off, and sure enough when it was time for my morning nap, Daddy put me in my car seat? Quite odd, but I was tired so off to sleep I went. When I woke up we were in Boston! It was about lunch time so we hit Boston Beer Works and guess who else was there? Uncle Tommy, Grampy and Grammy! Here I am sitting with Uncle Tommy and eating all his sweet potato fries.

And having a brew with Grampy. Hey, it did have fruit in it! Blueberries. Yum. They were floating in everyone's drinks there. Very silly.

And playing with Grammy so Mommy could eat her lunch.

And finally chillin' with Auntie Becky.

I was passed around through the whole meal. But this, my friends, was only the beginning of my adventure today...

Happy Birthday To Me!!! - Part One

Today was soooo much fun! Thomas and I celebrated our first birthdays together today. He turned 1 three weeks ago and I turn 1 in three weeks from now, so we split the difference. Here I am opening my card and presents. I got puzzles and books and clothes from my friends! Also, please note that my Mommy dressed me in a pretty dress and I hated it because I couldn't crawl. At least she tried, right?

Here I am playing with Thomas's toys. I'm pretending to share with Daddy, but really, I'm trying to distract him long enough to steal his beer.

Auntie Becky was so sweet to us girls! She read us stories in bed this afternoon.

And wouldn't you know it. I had my first taste of birthday cake! It was soooo yummy! My technique was the following: 1. grab entire piece of cake 2. aim for mouth 3. apply pressure 4. keep chewing until entire piece is gone. Worked well for me! Mommy even gave me a second piece! Go me!

And here we are laughing, clapping, and singing.

Today was a silly good time. My parents tell me that today was just the beginning of my "birthday season". More to come? I can't wait!

All Work and No Play

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't written in awhile. Things around here have been a bit crazy. I was sick and Mommy was sick and Mommy had to grade lots of final projects and it's just been nuts. But this week has still been a blast. My Auntie Becky moved in and she is so much fun. I love having someone to play with all day long. There was one day that I had to catch up on my work though. So many phone calls and too many emails.

On the Campaign Trail...

Today I hit my first political rally. I headed out to Stow to support my friend Kate Hogan in her quest for a state representative seat. She's not in my district, so I can't vote for her (besides that whole not being 18 and all...), but I did the best thing I could. I was her model for the "kissing baby" photo op that every politician has to have. Here I am listening to her speech. She is captivating!

And trying out my Uncle Sam hat with Auntie Becky. Suits me well, I'd say!

Visits galore!

Today was another busy day for me and my adoring fans. First Auntie Carolyn came over and she brought me a present! She can't come to my birthday party, so I got to open it now!

Two beautiful outfits! I'll be styling this summer! Thanks, Auntie Carolyn! After the fun with presents, I took Auntie Carolyn to my favorite farm stand down the street and we met Daddy there for lunch. I got to eat a donut. It was awesome. Then Grampy, Grammy and Auntie Becky stopped by for a visit. We played for a bit and then I took a nap.

But guess what? Auntie Becky is staying ALL WEEK LONG! I am so lucky. This week will be the best! I can't wait!
